Let's lay down a few things
>1Gamefreak doesn't care about your stupid OCD. They gave Charizard two Megas, and Venusaur+Blastoise only got one. Blaziken got a mega while Swampert and Sceptile got shit
>2Sceptile fills no requirements to be in Smash. Pikachu is widly popular. It's the mascot. Same goes for Charizard. You can almost consider it a pseudo-mascot and it's definitively the second most popular pokémon. Also, megas to promote that new feature in Pokémon. Lucario behind the Charizard/Mewtwo/Pikachu trinity is the most popular pokemon of all time. Also had a movie for itself and shit. Greninja is the most popular Gen 6 pokémon by a wide margin. It's popular, kid of humanoid and promotes Gen 6 that is something that is happening right fucking now.
And then there's Sceptile. Sceptile is not especially popular so it doesn't get a pass like Pikachu. And Gen 3 was like 10 years ago, so it gets no brownie points for promoting shit like Greninja.
And for the inevitable faggots that will try to mount a conspiracy about muh remakes and how Sceptile would be an early sign of remakes, for starters Blaziken is a LOT more popular, Nintendo wouldn't spoil GF's future plans with such a blatant hint and read Point 1 again
