Just there being a turn limit on these forms already makes it impossible to justify shoving megas out for them. Maybe it'll be good, but all signs say otherwise and it'll never measure up to megas.
Raid battles are also pretty shit just because you're competing with others for the catch. It's a cool idea on paper, but combine that shit with the eugenics competitive players have to do, and you get some annoying as shit hoops to jump through on top of whatever voodoo you have to perform to get good stats. Oh, and everything will go down in a single turn once people start hitting the endgame in stride and bringing their most powerful shit to the table. Pokemon was never made to have bosses like that.
