How are they going to explain the sudden change of art style, focus and story in the anime? They can't say is Ash when he was younger since he's keeping Pikachu, they can't say is Ash in the future since he's clearly younger (and stupider).
How will they try to connect this series with the previous ones? Are we sure this is Ash, or is he Ash's Alolan cousin (a la Oak) or Forme (a la Vulpix)?
He still looks like a poorly done bootleg of Ash to me, with the rounded features and the more curved squiggly lines under his eyes.
