It doesn't help that other places look shitty as hell. Some even have 300-500 word limits a post, like if you want me to fill out a damn novel, you may as well get me a fucking publisher for my autismo. Then there's the 'dark' ones that either have an excellent concept but die out or the ones that make no fucking sense for Pokemon, but prosper.
Oh man, I saw one where people faceclaimed Steven fucking Stone of all people. That was nutty.
I love to roleplay, but fuck if its not extremely hard to find one that moves at a fun pace and has something to keep you interested.
