Start by just playing those, don't look anything up, don't even come here, all that shit can wait. until after, for actually getting back into it just play a game that you have great memories with and if it's been long enough it'll feel like it's all brand new again, and THAT feeling will bring you back in.
I can't stress enough, ignore everything else until after you play the game all the way through again, don't look up anything either, go in blind, you don't wanna rob yourself of what will likely be your last taste of that raw enjoyment that is experiencing a pokemon game for the first time
