I beat my first Nuzlocke, but not without a casuality in the 11th hour. Rest in peace Dragonair, Lance had no right to crit you from full HP with Aero's Hyper Beam. There were some other scary moments at the end, Victreebel missed 3 Razor Leafs in a row and got crit, a Hitmonlee who had no business doing so well almost killed him, Graveler took a Crunch from Houndoom that almost killed it from full (and I'd have definitely lost another member too, Slowbro would die to that for sure). Overall, very fun, I'm not sure if I'm immediately going to handle the Kanto side or wait a bit. The rules were pretty standard for my first time, one allowance I did make was to use the Shiny I found (Graveler). Swapped it for the Graveler I'd already been using all run and took the time to grind her up, it was more of a handicap since even at a higher level it hadn't had the effort values of an entire journey with it, plus was too high up to keep Rock Throw so I had to chance a Rollout at the end, ended up beating Lance's final, Charizard, with it. Grinding the team up to 48 like I did felt about right, I think 46 would've been -fine- but I didn't have many good counters for Karen/Lance so some brute force was necessary. Thinking of using the Rocket Hideout Electrode as my new 6th slot, it can get Thunderbolt in Crystal.
Rest in peace:
SHUCKIE the Shuckle: Chuck had me pinned down and I couldn't keep my main party alive without a switch
Tentina the Tentacool: Same as above, Chuck was crazy this run
Furbs the Furret: critical self-destruct in the Rocket Mahogany Lair, full HP
Serpent the Dragonair: Crit Hyper Beam off Aerodactyl at the end.
Team: Embers the Typhlosion, Squirmy the Butterfree, Pucker the Victreebel, Yawn John the Slowbro, Serpent the Dragonair (fallen), and Gemstone the -shiny- Graveler (honorable mention to her counterpart Bouldy safe in the PC)
