>>37864974I never played Gen 2 until just a couple years ago. I'd seen the movies associated with it but my parents never bought the game for me. I still knew all the mons but I didn't play another game until FRLG.
I was considerable underwhelmed it took me forever to beat the game. I just didn't feel like picking it up and playing it. The region just feels dull and not fun to travel. Best part is the dex I love a majority of the Pokemon but the gym leaders and trainers feel so easy. There is no challenge and almost no plot so I didn't really feel a reason to keep playing except for the fact that I had played a game from every gen except for gen 2. second worst gen besides 6 though I still need to get around to playing 7. I played Crystal btw since it wasn't that much more expensive than the others and I figured it was probably the definitive edition.
