>>39409136The games in general look pretty... dull? formulaic? I don't know. Sun and Moon had a lot of flaws, but every announcement they made before release was really interesting. No gyms, ultra beasts, two evil teams... it wasn't wildly different, but it felt refreshing, at least. Sword and Shield just don't have anything particularly interesting about them (that we know so far, at least). That is pretty bad, considering how long many of us have been waiting for the first home console pokemon game (inb4 that was LGPE. Yes, but sword and shield was supposed to be the real deal, although I never really believed it). And that's on top of:
>meh visuals (except for cinematics, maybe)>battles somehow even slower because of dyna/gigantamax>dyna/gigantamax looking kind of dumb and in any case not mattering because they'll get the axe next gen>wild area being a cool concept but looking rather lame in gameplay so far>same old models and animations for pokemon>not even all pokemon in itI'm not saying the games look BAD. They just look... uninteresting. There's nearly nothing to speculate about, and that's telling.
