The only difference in my first was that the Togekiss was a Togetic and I had a Magneton instead of Starmie. Other stuff that got used were a Crobat and Exeggutor that got swapped in and out for the Kanto gyms, a Beedrill with Bug Bite that was not worth the effort in keeping a Weedle for that long, and the NPC trade Onyx that got turned into an HM slave once I caught the Steelix.
