that type of case with the 4 screws is old and outdated. cases that are currently in common use only have one screw or a magnetic closure, and are designed with small margins around the card to prevent that type of pressure on the edges. additionally, pokemon cards are smaller than sports cards by fractions of a millimeter, but enough to make a difference in such situations. a perfect fit sleeve, or in some larger cases a regular sleeve over that, is enough to fill those margins and keep the card in place without pinching the edges
