>>56903353I don't think so, part of the charm is projecting yourself as the main character of each game and living your adventure alongside the Pokemon.
A world with only Pokemon works as a spin-off, MD series, but as a main series it would fall into exaggerated infantilism and furfags and we all know where this leads >>/mlp/
The franchise, in its current state, gives freedom to casual players to take whatever route they want, do you want a challenge? focus on competitive, are you obsessed with a Pokegirl? play Masters, do you want more lore? play Legends, do you only like Pokemon as cute animals? play Snap, do you want skins? play Unite, do you just want to kill time? play the main games.
The best example I can think of to explain this is when a character in a sitcom is very popular and they give him his own spin-off and it fails, because the character worked as part of a whole, but focusing only on him quickly gets boring.
