I realised after posting it that I might need to swallow my OCD and make it an elephant instead of a hippo (already designed an elephant, see pic), seeing as its trunk fits better with the tapir's snout and I might even be able to throw in a hose reference without making things weird, ears could even recemble spouting water coming off the cap. The thought of adding a mid evo did come to me and might be something I'd pursue if I go the elephant route, but with the current version I was at a loss of what animal to base that stage on.
But yeah I'd love to make this work, if only because I like the idea for the base so much.
