not even necessarily because it's 5 levels above you, has 1180 BST, and has an army of ralts and kirlia that can put you to sleep, but because you're locked into that section of the game until you beat it, for a really dumb reason too
basically had to set up a loop of making it use up all of its attacks by switching/healing/reviving until i could finish it off
