>>45195701Games being in the same universe don't mean they're part of the same series, nor does it mean they share a devteam. A good example is Makai Kingdom, which was developed alongside Disgaea 2. The lead artist and musician were busy on D2 which is why Makai Kingdom had Toi8 do a lot of the art for it and had several indie musicians do the OST.
I'm not really sure why wikipedia lists some of these games as spinoffs but others (like Zettai Hero Project) aren't. Just about every game released by NIS is under the same blanket universe and they use Disgaea to promote other games via DLC, but that doesn't mean every NIS game has the exact same devteam, even going through the wiki every game has different directors and designers.
