I try to avoid interacting with the fanbase, especially /vp/, because they try to force their stupid headcanons on me and it ruins my enjoyment of the games. (e.g., even after Nintendo has REPEATEDLY said that all mainline games are canon and exist in parallel universes, /vp/ still tries to insist that some games are more canon than others; tries to force the use of stupid non-canon character names like "Silver" for the rival in GSC, etc.)
