DeNA wasn't as limited as GF hence why they recycled designs like beta Green & Kris, though I'd say Kris at least stands apart much better from Lyra than beta Green does. Beta Green isn't canon in any case as Red appears in HGSS regardless, and Green in the recent Kanto remakes series, so there's no disputing this.
