>>29153454I wouldn't mind a few more, but i feel like megas and alolan forms have filled a similar niche. Also, as forgettable as it was, the big influx of new evos was technically Sinnoh's gimmick, with evolution methods being Rowan's field of expertise, Mt.Coronet and the eevee rocks being a big deal as a locational evos, and Team Galactic stealing the energy let off during evolution. The only other excuse was gen2 being a direct sequel and picking up a few scrapped ideas, plus the retroactive baby forms and steel evos to pad out the new type. gen 3 line additions were all totally pointless.
