Pokemon media is tanking because it has almost nothing going for it. They are not particularly outstanding in the visual department, at least compared to its competitors. The writing is bound to a formula that has been beaten to a bloody pulp time and time again. And overall there are much better alternatives in those fields with absolutely no scarcity of options. Brand name might have been enough for the games to keep selling, at least they are somewhat interactive, but all of Pokemon's Narrative media is failing because it takes away the appealing things about Pokemon and focuses on something that has always been the Franchise's weak point: Their Absolutely SHIT Story
