I don't understand the comparison? If you mean both games are only bought for waifus then you're late on that, Pokemon has been pumping out waifus since gen 3. And in Fire Emblem's case the gameplay is still satisfying strategy, with the waifus and bloodlines only enhancing the experience of managing a kingdom. Pokemon has never been able to add a single interesting mechanic without flanderizing something else.
