His lab would get destroyed and it would become the Pokémon Mansion. It also had Blaine's gym. Perhaps Blaine (Coleman) was the same person as Mr. Fuji at this point of development.
The zoo was originally in Rocket-controlled Celadon in V1 but it was moved next to the Safari zone.
Sabrina's gym was originally a Rocket hideout
Pokémon Tower was in the Seafoam Islands but was moved to Lavender Town in V3.
