Pokemon Kanto Origins is a another hack based on Kanto that lets you have Mega Evolutions as if they are a extra evolutiom because you will need it as the final fights are a Uber spam with fakemon with ridiculous abilities.
Its more of a story hack based on the typical Kanto theories. Its quite nice with parts like the mistery of the "essency of Kanto" being vitals to the plot.
The ending was both my less favorite and favorite part. Because the last part of the game is...hell.
Imagine beating a E4 and the Rival, all on Lv 90s with good teams with busted fakemon.
...THEN, you have to fight Oak...and THEN you have to fight over 20 Team Rocket NPCs, many of them with full teams of OU Pokemon with some rows to use items to heal.
THEN, you fight the Rocket Admins. THEN...finally, the fight against Giovanni.
And after that...Giovanni accepts defeats, exile himself and admits that he realizes that the MC is controlled by a person "of a higher dimension" (a twist that honestly, felt interesting seeing how the game uses Porygon data manipulation a lot for its plot).
Then, you get to the final fight against the "Kanto Spirit" (that for some reason has a Kyogre and Giratine. Lugia and Ho-oh are understandable given that the final dungeon are ruins under Mt. Silver) and after that...
Well, just the chance to press a item and get a simple message.
"You are Kanto".
I like it because the implication of Red becoming a spirit tied to Mt. Silver after becoming THE STRONGEST TRAINER.
