I'm boring. I run Swampert/Giratina-A/Melmetal because this is what works for me.
Say the Venusaur lead happens - I could switch to Melmetal, but they could have both Blaziken and Swampert, who crush Melmetal but don't do very well into Giratina. Or, I go into Giratina and they have both Clefable and Lapras, who are great into Giratina but Melmetal legit 1v2s them with HP to spare.
They might change it over time since it's early days, but lead RNG is the main flaw of GBL right now and there's no elegant user-side solution. If there was a Pokemon that didn't have any losing matchups to lead with, everyone without exception would run it.
