Cinderace feels like Gamefreak’s 3rd attempt at making a starter Pokemon in hopes to peak Sakurai’s interest, designed for the soul purpose of being a fighting game character rather than an actual creature that works well in the series, just like Greninja, Braixen, Decidueye and Incineroar. Fortunately it doesn’t look like Cinderace is gonna be in smash, so maybe this’ll break GF’s bad habit.
Just like all those Pokémon above, Cinderace grew on me. I’ll always be a monkeybro thick and thin, but Cinderace is still pretty dang cool.
