I was browsing /vp/ during BW leak season and went ape shit when I found out they made a Pokemon line with my two favorite types. I liked the whole family equally and used Chandy in BW until I saw that the Unova Horoscope thing they did in BW for flavor had Lampent for my astrological sign. Then B2W2 ended up getting released on my birthday and I decided to use Lampent as my ace for the playthrough without evolving it and I fell more in love with it. Then it just kinda grew from there. My girlfriend even made me a Lampent cake on my birthday one year. Also, even though Night March was an annoying deck during XY TCG, I used the hell out of it just because of Lampent. I even use it now despite it not doing that well in expanded. I also used Lampent for a Showdown draft tournament and for a Monotype tournament somebody used to host here on /vp/. I love how simple and cute the design is.
