Anyway FF1 sold 890k units, FF2 670k, and FF3 420k. I would love for a Switch reboot of the series but I'm not hopeful based on those numbers. Although frankly I was surprised the third game happened at all, so I could be wrong here too. Also, I think with Pokémon it's easier to keep making new monsters because you have all animals that ever existed to use as a basis, whereas dinosaurs are much more limited.
