Elite four wasn't as clean as I hoped. Aaron was a sweep with Satori and flamethrower and Vene managed to make it through Bertha with no issues.
At Flint and his 'fire' pokemon I lost Selijord to a thunder fang OHKO from his steelix and avenged him with satori. Losing Selijord hurt a lot since I was counting on him a bit for lucian and Cynthia and it left me without a water type for Flint's infernape. Driflim came out and satori took it to red with shadow claw and it baton passed to infernape. Flint's outsped with close combat leaving me in the red and then I followed through with my own leaving it as 1 hp. I switched into Kara and Flint full restored only for Kara to OHKO with dragon claw then finish off the drifblim no problem. The Lucian fight was catastrophic and I lost Satori and Cusith to medicham's high jump kick which OHKO'd the both of them. Kara then came in and swept the rest of them with crunch.
Going into Cynthia things weren't looking very good since only had three mons and no real answer to her Lucario among them. Against spiritomb Kara got to sword dance +2 and killed it with dig. Milotic and gastordon came out next which Vene swept with grass knot and mega drains. When Rosarade came out I made the switch to Kara who killed it with dragon claw. The problem Lucario came next and I swapped to Kama who was promtly KO'd. I was forced to send in Kara who died to a flash cannon. Last Vene came out and managed to kill the Lucario eventually with shadow ball. Finally Garchomp came out and outsped but missed letting me get back a bit of health with mega drain. However Garchomp then eneded the run with earthquake to take Vene down.
Pretty sad to see it over. Losing Selijord so early really did put a hole in my plans. Was realy suprised with Vene who hasn't been that much of a star during this run but really did some work in the Cynthia fight. With this loss I'm probably gonna have a go at either a US or SS run. Which should it be?
