Every kid is a karenfag, at least at first. Kids didn't pick Charizard back in the day because of how viable it was competitively or how strong it actually was, they just picked it because muh radical fire dragon of fire. Well, same shit applies to people who don't evolve their pokemon.
The one case in which I haven't been able to bring myself to evolve a pokemon is Darumaka.
