>>36954294You're also forgetting that most Pokemon have equal or greater intelligence to humans. There would be different Pokemon societies or colonies and I'm guessing a lot of them would resent humans for enslaving and domesticating their brethren.
I also think most pokemon would be on a restricted list. Besides simple things like normal and flying types, a lot of the pokemon with elemental abilities would be too dangerous. Cities would probably require a scan for pokeballs before allowing you to enter an area and if you're carrying a restricted pokemon they may confiscate it and arrest you on the spot depending how powerful it is.
The more I think about this the more I want pokemon in a realistic environment. This would be so much more interesting than the new evil team in the games or detective pikachu.
