Firstly, The whole 'dystopian future 100 years later' shit was already done in BotW. Secondly, this whole idea completely clashes with the tone of Pokemon itself. Since previous regions were based on vague, positive concepts such as 'beauty', 'life' and 'nature', what makes anyone here think Game Freak would legitimately design a region with a concept as depressing as this? Even Kalos, the region with the darkest backstory, had that background told only through the characters in the region. The whole region's concept itself didn't hinge on war and suffering.
Pokemon is a series aimed at 10 year olds. The games are always framed around having a fun, happy adventure. People who really believe they'd do this edgy dystopian bullshit are mentally handicapped.
