You are Calem, the ambiguously-aged 15-16 year old boy from Vaniville Town. Recently, your stupid, nonsensical, and autistic-to-the-casual-mind misadventures took you to the Coumarine City Gym, nestled deeply within a cave. A cave which, thanks to endless hours of gardening and care, had gone from looking like a piece of Zubat-infesting shit, to a sanctuary for Grass-type Pokemon and on top of that, a home to the miraculous Tree of Life.
Your exploits brought you to the top of said tree, where you faced off against the gruff gardener with a heart of old from Baa de Mer Ranch, Ramos. Although his Pokemon were tough and/or annoying, you eventually prevailed with the help of Froakie, who evolved into Frogadier at the last minute to snag in that win. Never in a million years could you have saw that coming.
You earned the Plant Badge for your top-notch efforts, pitting you at the halfway mark to reaching the Pokemon League. Four badges down, four badges left to go. Essentially, your adventure is already halfway over. By the time you become champion, you probably won't ever meet any of the people you've met along the way ever again.
