Hey all, old school PokePlayer here. On a whim this week I decided to ignore the reviews i've read on /v/ and I splashed out for a 3DS/XL and Pokemon Y.
Holy. Crap. This game has totally rekindled my love for Pokemon. I've blazed through the 8 gyms and Elite Four and now i'm just freeroaming. I've been out of the loop for a while however, the last game I played was Gold (Original Gold, not the remake) so I have a couple of questions about these new games:
1) How big is the Pokedex in this game? Does it cover Gen I - latest or is it a pick and mix from each gen? Can I actually catch them all?
2) What's the possibility of Gamefreak expanding this game? IE: New/Old regions/cities/pokemon via DLC.
3) Somebody told me this is the last Pokemon game in the series. True/False?
4) Is there any way I can back up my save game or sync it online in the event of console/SD Card failure or user stupidity? I've enabled the "Game Sync" option but I didn't really read into what that was. My old age has made me concerned with backups backups backups.
