Will Horizon finally end Anipoke's obsession with doormats? The worst mistake XY series made was making Serena submissive and forced Ash to behave mature & cool front of her. Maturity & Experienced are separate thing like Goku who is an experienced fighter but immature than Vibel or Frieren who is thousand of years old yet a 16 year old human girl is more mature than her.

Ash mentored May & Dawn without being some super cool mature ikemen. Yajima should have followed their example instead of forcing Pokemon to be Naruto. Now another guy forcing Pokemon to be "Nadia The Secret Of Blue Water"

Serena at the beginning was just as Genki, sassy, hotheaded and assertive as Dawn & Misty on the first three XY episode however it went downhill when she joined the main group. I guess her problem was --

>Poor dynamic and interaction with all the characters

>Ash being out-of-character for the entire duration of XY and XY&Z series

Serena's dynamic with all the character were boring including Ash, Clemont and Shauna. Only Millfeui had interesting dynamic with her but only in the first episode. Serena also presented as weak submissive girl and many people does not like those character unless they has sad past, large breast or happen to be a comic relief. XY Ash was too out-of-character so Serena simping over him instead of calling him out like past four girls before her made her friendship & crush on Ash feel manufactured and superficial.
