Silver got a slight upgrade if you had access to the Celebi event. Beyond that, they actually closed off his story. It's one of those "all about the NPC" types of things, but since it wasn't that in-your-face beyond the first encounters, it wasn't too offensive. It's funny - it set you up as his rival instead of the other way around.
Cheren was previously discussed, and you didn't actually retort that one, so it stands. I'll yield that Bianca was almost useless, but since the two were meant to play off of each other, judging them separately isn't fair.
