I like my idea of a Fire-type or Ground-type one that migrated to a volcanic area in an attempt to uses the ashes as a substitute for dust baths and adapted to the area. Or Water-type ones that developed the type for further cleaning power after being imported to help with pollution problems in a region. Or Poison-type ones where the prior scenario goes horribly wrong.
