>>49874440>I think most normal folk who aren't invested into seeing these critters as love interest can easily pick up on the context the series creates. Then I guess you think all these people were in love with Mr. Mime? Appearance does matter, and not being affected by it is highly unusual. That’s why this post wouldn’t have had 100000 notes if it was a Houndoom instead.
>Original characters greatly inflate the numbers given that it's a species and not a character. That still comes from people being into the species, which shares a single base appearance. It’s OK to acknowledge Gardevoir as attractive, it doesn’t degrade them at all. To bring up Princess Peach again, she wasn’t designed specifically with attractiveness in mind, but she just happens to be attractive. That doesn’t corrupt her as a character, it’s just something that happens to be a part of her. Same with Gardevoir. They just happen to have an exotic appeal that people are into.
>But that aside you seem to forget that the eeveelutions exists and from what I've seen are popular with the circus here. No, look up the numbers, none of the Eeveelutions have more porn than Gardevoir. That’s despite the Eeveelutions being derived from Eevee, a heavily shilled secondary mascot. But then again, Gardevoir is an elegant humanlike creature, but Eevee is a funny little fox thing, so it isn’t that surprising that not as many people are into it like that even though it appears more often.
