Ok, this is going to sound weird, and maybe its the result of me spending too much time here, but does anyone else find peculiary how much emphasis they put on that mochi hitting Kieran forehead. In context its just a joke about him not being able to dodge it like the like the protagonist can, but the way everything slows down, along with the framing, and even Kieran's face and the way he seems a bit taken aback afterwards make it seem like a far bigger deal than it should be. lt almost like they want us to imagine... something much less wholesome and much more humiliating hitting his face than just a pastry.
