It's been nearly 10 years since XY, and they still haven't come close to offering such a comprehensive multiplayer ecosystem. It wasn't perfect (like removing GTS Negotiations, having no way to tell randoms what you're looking for), but it was such a good foundation for future games.

Why not? XYORAS still has the best multiplayer infrastructure. Instant access to friends, the Battle Spot, GTS and even O-Powers built into the home menu. It was simple, intuitive, and successfully integrated features from the DS era.

Also, your pic just reminded me that Gen 8 doesn't have a fucking VS Recorder...Didn't even bring it back for the Sinnoh games.
