>>34915512Out of these 4, Hugh by far. Sure he was a bit obsessive about the Purrloin incident, but that's mental scarring from being "too weak" as a kid. It worked perfectly as a drive and motive towards his character, making him one of the few rivals so far to actually have reason for going on an adventure past a simple desire. He's never selfish about it, though. Instead of needlessly being a dick and putting the player down or putting all faith in the player while doing nothing on their own, Hugh wants to be an equal with the player so that they can both be strong and protect the ones close to them. No bullshit about wanting to be the strongest or being better than others, just good enough so that he can keep others safe. Such a great guy.
