Last night we challenged the Pearl league, and oh man.

>Dustox
Talos gets a Quick Claw Stone Edge, oh baby that’s a nice start.
>Heracross
Send out Xander for the Intimidation, then swap to Episkyros for the hopeful safe switch. Instead I eat a Stone Edge, taking off 100 HP. Nice moves. AND ITS FASTER, so I eat another Stone Edge, dropping me to 66 HP. Thank you for having mercy on me, RNG. That was a terrible strategy on my part, but I finish it with Fly.
>Drapion
Xander is coming in and I want him staying in. I go for Crunch for the Def drop three times before giving up and Sparking twice, which triggers the Full Restore. His freaking Ice Fang gets a freeze, but I defrost on the same turn and get a Paralysis. How’s that feel you twink bastard? Xander levels to 60 for his trouble.
>Vespiqueen
Talos outspeeds somehow and gets the Stone Edge KO, damn Vespiqueen you slow.
>Beautifly
Poseidon safely cleans up with Ice Beam.
Bertha
>Quagsire
Phoebos as a lead pays off right away, letting me set up Leech Seed while it Digs. I use a Growth and tank the hit easily, then follow up with a second Growth predicting another Dig (I don’t want to waste a turn of Sun with it underground). The prediction pays off and the Quagsire emerges into a well-lit room only to be Solar Beamed.
>Sudowoodo
Solar Beam’d, leveling Phoebos to 60.
>Hippowdon
I’m scared of Fire Fang or other shenanigans so Poseidon comes in and takes it out with a Surf. Actually the Steel typing makes the Sandstorm not matter, so good on you Mr. Penguin.
>Golem
Poseidon used Grass Knot.
>Whishcash
Poseidon used Grass Knot, which actually doesn’t KO scaring me for a moment, but it uses Zen Headbutt. Does it not have EQ? Or was it merciful RNG? Either way I’ll take it.
