There was a LOT of this crap in the lead-up to Sun and Moon. I think it was a combination of resentment over the Battle Frontier fermenting into misplaced hopium, Project Azoth planting the seeds of alchemy-related deepest lore in everyone's heads along with the sun and moon theming, and a lack of other shit to talk about because the discourse over the starter leaks was so ass.
