>>41940979Wow, that's actually pretty difficult choice. I'm a pretty good duelist (I've had 3 YCS tops), but I'm pretty good at Pokemon too. I probably wouldn't have a problem making a living as a professional Duelist or Pokemon Trainer.
My biggest issue is that irl competitive Pokemon/Yugioh is ridiculously different compared to "in universe" competitive battling/dueling. For both irl Pokemon/Yugioh, competitive is defined by using the most optimal sets and builds to the point where there's hardly any originality, and "in universe", Pokemon teams and Yugioh decks would almost be considered Karenfagging by most of us. Most people from this universe would probably make official tournaments in both universes look like jokes (after factoring a few years us to train pokemon/make decks).
I guess in the end, I'd choose the Pokemon universe, because even if I was Mary Sue enough to have my favorite card be a Spirit monster or some shit, having Pokemon would let me travel with lifelong friends.
