Don't even try to justify the sudden change in direction, they showed us frozen fucking Pokemon just to spell out how nuts Lusamine was just for her to turn around and say "lol actually I just wanna save Alola" two seconds later.

Necrozma deserved its own arc, not a last minute shoehorning into an already existing arc. They should have saved it for postgame and expanded on that rather than make us sit through Rainbow Rocket, tease us with interesting ideas they'll never follow up on, and try to convince us a petty mob boss is somehow a greater evil than four varieties of genocidal cunts.
Don't even get me started on the ultra wormhole minigame or anything attached to that.
