There's a lot of build-up to it, the atmosphere was great, and Red's team was very good. Both fights in GSC and HGSS were well done. In GSC, the fight is in a random cave while in HGSS the fight takes place at the peak of MT Silver, both thematically excellent. Red's team are great callbacks to the previous games, Pikachu the mascot and Yellow starter, the Kanto starters, the strong roadblock Snorlax, and Espeon/Lapras which were giftmons. No wasted space and the references were cool.
I'm a HUGE Sinnohfag but the Cynthia fight in BW doesn't compare, it's just a nice surprise. I mean, do Unovafags really???
