1. get a hacked 3DS.
All 3DS and 2DS systems are hackable now, look up frogminer guides and follow that. I did one as a gift recently, new out of the box and worked like a charm.
2. Download all your bros off Pokebank and into your box in any compatible game.
If you don't have enough box space don't worry, you can repeat if you need to.
3. Use a save-utility like Checkpoint to dump your save file with all your bros to your SD card. These saves can be restored on any 3DS system forever and even used in emulators.
4. Back up these save files many times, use cloud storage providers and harddrives just whatever to make sure your pokemon survive the culling.
5. Wait out the nuclear fallout, hopefully they get patched into the new games. If not and your Pokemon Home is a death bed you can always restore your save and resurrect your poor pokemon in 3DS land.
