Injecting/pokesav is a 3rd part file editor/modifier not intended to be used with the game by it's developers and banned when Nintendo can.
I won't even give you credit enough to determine which mentioned is cheating. Injecting is cheating because it's banned when applicable, frowned upon by the devs, uses third party programs to modify the games code, gives an unearned advantage and bypasses gameplay for instant results.
