When I like something I want art to be as close to that thing which I like. I don't mind some mild deviation and personal artist flairs, but when you hit a certain point I guess it just is so far removed in my eyes that it is no longer the thing I even like anymore even if it now has features I otherwise would like.
I, for instance prefer dfc and a skinny body type, but I wouldn't want that in my Nidoqueen fanart since that is inherently not Nidoqueen.
Not trying to be inflammatory, I just don't understand it, like I said though I'm probably just too stupid.
