The famous painting I found paired with the story was a flaxen haired girl with a horse/cow tail.
But the side stories described them as sometimes troll or giantish in appearance so I decided to use cow/troll features like hooves and horns.
And the hair/ear flaps.
That's why I made it a split evo actually, one side for the fair maiden but with abhorrent features, and one for the brutish troll living in the woods.

It could have icicle wings or something but that's still kind of going into abomasnow territory.
I just got a neat idea I think. What if it has a clear ice mirror in it's back and then some lore about that fitting in with festivals.
If you can catch one and look into it's back, you'll see your true love or something.
And then an evo that has something to do with mirrors or reflections.
