>>36106636That's called marketing, they know spin offs don't sell as well as main line series game so they present LGPE as main line games. This was also done with the switch when they pretended it wasn't going to replace the 3DS (which it did), to keep selling 3DS. (also the fact that they had to announce the 2019 so quick to reassure regular fans kinda speaks for itself)
But keep calling it mainline if it helps you feel better about your pokémon Go spin off.
