Although he is from Lacunosa Town, he decided to leave his boring hometown to wander and know more around other regions. His favorite place to chill with his pokémon is in a secret base placed in route 120, in the Hoenn region. His Stoutland were with him when he was a kid, and it's his best pokémon. As a teenager he meet Rufflet in his first failed attempt to cross the Victory Road to challenge the Elite Four. Frustrated about it, he abandoned the idea of becoming a champion, so he decided to start a journey to become stronger and learn more things to accomplish his objective to be a great trainer.
But the years have passed, he became wise and stronger, and he quickly forgot about his first dream. Then he meet Sceptile and Medicham when he arrived to Hoenn, and realizes that he just likes to live the moment. You can meet him doing small works here and there, or teaching in the Hoenn's Trainer School, just enjoying it with the company of his pokémon.
