To go into detail, it's honestly something that likely could be changed if we were on a disasm hack. It could possibly even be an easy change, but the problem is that we're *not* a disassembly hack, and we won't port to disasm for a significant amount of time. I was told to "Wait for PokeRuby" over a year and a half ago, and its still not finished nor documented. Countryball will be ported to PokeFireRed when its finished, so changes like you're talking about here would be easy to make, but PokeFireRed isn't going to be finished for a pretty significant amount of time at this rate.
We could maybe, and that's a very big maybe, change it while still being a binary hack, but that's something I'd have to reach out to a more knowledgeable hacker than me to work out, and I personally think its unlikely to pan out.
